Mom Sad About my period?

I am on month 4 of my period (4 periods) and I have not told my mom yet. We are really close but I feel that since I am the baby of the family she will be sad. Will I hurt her feelings for not telling her sooner? (I plan telling her tonight!)

Starting your period is a "rite of passage" for a young girl. Don't keep it from your mom......give her the chance to enjoy it with you. Sure, she may seem sad about it, but it's only because her baby is growing up.

Just tell her. I doubt she will be sad- even though her baby is growing up. She will be more upset if you don't include her in the important things in your life. Good Luck.

go on tell her about it. just be honest and say you were too afraid when it happened. i am certain she will understand.

Just tell her, hon. She may be proud that you handled it so well, but she might be just a teensy bit disappointed that you didn't let her know right away. It is a right of passage, and often a moment of some significance between a daughter and her mother. It's good that you're telling her tonight. It'll be just fine!
