What can I do to help with asthma? |
A friend of mine used to be able to get inhalers, but now he can't because he has no money to afford them and no health insurance. His asthma is pretty sever and he lives in a rural area where there's lots of dust and pollen outside. He can't move either. So I'm wondering if there's anything he can do to help, like something he could add to his diet or a particular exercise? Any advice would be really appreciated. You talked of diet and exercise. This person who answer was picked, the person who picked the answer is why we have so many idiots show up daily in the er begging for me to give them a breathing treatment... Report It Right now walmart has albuterol (asthma med) on the 4$ generic list.. I would get him a script... Is it possible you can get one for him? What about a paper lunch bag? I have seen people breathe into one of those before, and it works. I hope you can help him. I think that asthmatics are protected by governments health insurance. Anyway, it is best thing to have spray near You. Well you can check on the reference link below on the things that you and your friend may do to lessen his asthma attacks. Hope it may help. It is probably his allergy giving him the asthma attacks. He might want to try over the counter meds like benadryl,or walmart has a brand of allergy pills that work great. He might want to look into getting an inhaler,he he can't afford it maybe the doctor has some samples or call around it should be about $10.00 for generic or less. Have him wear a surgical mask when cleaning (especially dusting and vacuuming) and when outside, especially on days when there is a pollen/pollution warning. They are sold at drugstores for a few dollars and come in a box of like 10. Also, a humidifier always helped me.. |
