I am 15 years old, and I am pretty sure I have an STD.? |
The thing is I believe I have had this for awhile now. When i was 5 I was forced into sex by a kid that lived near me. I lived in a rural town so there weren't many people I could hang out with so I agreed to keep the friendship. I've had the symptoms for awhile now, but I didn't realize that it was an STD until Health class this year. I haven't told my parents any of this yet. I could go to a planned parenthood, but I can't drive and the closest one is 15 miles away. Any suggestions? Are you sure it's an STD? And 10 years seems like a LOOONNGGG time to have an STD and not know it. Can you talk to a counselor at school or do you *think* you might be able to talk to your parents about the situation? There's a lot of concerns beyond the terrifying fact that you suspect you have an STD. A support system would be REALLY beneficial. I cannot imagine that you'd feel comfortable turning to one of your peers (at age 15), but if you DO have a very close friend that you can look to for support, that would be helpful too. Try talking with your school nurse, health teacher, or local health department. Get to your doctors or tell your health teacher about it and let her help you. Obviously there is something wrong and the longer you leave it the worse it will get. I am strongly suspicious if you tell a school counselor, they will confide your information to your parents which I am sure you do not want to happen. (1) Bacterial STDs are curable, viral STDs are not. |

Nothing is wrong with you. You have a different desire and you are attracted to women more than you are to men. Just try and relax your mind to control, if possible do some yoga. That would help.
