Have you asked your doctor about a TENS unit? It's a portable electro-stim and it keeps the muscles relaxed. My husband has a very messed up back and he swears by it! Best part is that it is portable...the unit is about the size of a cell phone...maybe even smaller. Some insurances covers the cost of these. You'll love it!!
