Who would be a better physician?neurological or ortheopedic for my ruptured disk im needing surgery? If it is in your neck, a neurosurgeon will be the one to operate. If in the mid or lower back then a spinal surgeon (sub-specialty of orthopaedic surgeon) or neurosurgeon would be the one to operate on you. ortheopetic I just had my L5S1 rupture and had a discectomy to repair it 2 days ago. It was performed by a neurosurgeon and things couldn't be going better. The pain in my leg is almost completely gone, and the only discomfort I'm in right now is around the incision. Hope this helps!! Good Luck! |
