Can herniated (ruptured) cervical disks cause migraine headaches?

Please do not answer yes or no. I would like a reference if you don't have first hand knowledge of this. Thank you.

Yes, the disks are in my neck. I should have said that instead of cervical I suppose. The disks are c5 an c6

yes they can cause headaches or dizziness, because the disc can sometimes be pinching on a nerve, by the different ways you move.

Where do you have a herniated disc? If it's in your neck it can certainly cause migraines. I had two of them in my neck when I had whiplash and one in my lumbar spine. Very painful!

yes

I would say that indeed this can cause headaches, but I would venture to say not a true migraine. Have you a history of migraines? Remember the cause of migraines has always been disputed, some say it is an imbalance in the chemistry of the brain, some say a vascular headache, some say it is hormonal. A migraine is a one sided headache, the discs may be a trigger but I do not believe a cause.
