Are there homeopathic solutions for negative, obsessive runaway thoughts? |
I want a calming of the mind solution. Preferrably, homeopathic, as I absolutly won't try Rx meds, I took Paxil once and the cure was worse than the symptoms/ problems I would really recommend the Bach Flower remedy White Chestnut - however, you might like to take a look at this webpage and check out the remedies and what they help with yourself - one of the others might appeal to you more. I've had great success myself using them... Hey Donald! Have you tried meditation? It calms the mind and lasts a long longer. You can take a few minutes out each time you find yourself having the problem and close your eyes, draw your attention away and relax. See what the underlying problem is. It could be stresses in your life that have your mind in an uproar, and unresolved relationship problem, etc. Generally, if there isn't some psychosis that directs your thoughts into "overkill", then there is usually something that is not being dealt with on a subconscious level that might require some digging. You need to tell your self that you are willing to understand what the problem is - you are willing to take a look at it. If you find that you aren't willing to know what the problem is, just being "willing to be willing" frequently is enough to start the process of understanding. If you can then resolve the issue, then you can find peace from these obsessive thoughts. Rather than thinking of an herb or magic pill, there are a few alternative therapies that can help: Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese system of movement, meditation and breathing exercises. Through a series of slow movements, you develop balance, form and a deep sense of calmness and serenity. Hatha yoga, too, as a path to relaxation and mindful expression. To help get rid of the negative obsessive thoughts, stay away from drugs, alcohol and other body/mind alterating substances. Think of taking care of your wholeself - mind and body. Seek assistance from a professional therapist or counselor that incorporates natural methods with homeopathic healing. Good luck! I agree with you, Paxil is terrible. I have been on it for 3 years and I am weaning off of it now. I know a homeopathic doctor who recommends yoga and acupuncture as well as aromatherapy. The yoga helps me out a lot, the breathing techniques are great. Good luck. |
