I have a freind thats in mental hospital but she is getting worse? |
She is afraid to be in there the staff are horendeous she wants to runaway she is scared, if she runs away when she is on leave or able to go out alone do you think that she willl make it and has anyone you know done that and made it, and how will the police catch her if she has moved another area would they not loose her in the system outside, can that happen? Happy Christmas! Paneints that leave a mental hostipital are fairly high priority to find,as they see that as a threat to themselfs or others. You should have her asked to be transfered, there are also advocates that may be able to help her out.All mental facilities have to have an advocate. I totally agree with that first answer. Try to see about getting her transferre because it's not going to be pretty when (not if) they catch her and they WILL catch her. Although the staff shouldn't be mean to her, it is difficult dealing with the mentally ill on a daily basis, especially when you have some, like your friend, that intend to escape. My advice would be to tell your friend to cooperate with her treatment plan and get out with a doctor's approval rather than trying to break out. Do you know how much of her perception of the staff is in her mind as part of the illness? If they are REALLY treating her badly, the NHS and the law are completely on her side. She needs to try advocacy, or if she is already on a section, the mental health commission have a duty to take care of her complaints. She can get in touch with either of these via information that will be up on the ward. However, if some of this is a result of her illness, please try not to collude with it, as it will make her worse in the long run. |

Most of us have some borderline elements in us, since it's part of the psychological development of every human being. Being 'diagnosed' with borderline personality disorder is real... Listen... I know how you feel.. I used to feel that way before.. but then I changed.. I just started seeing life in another way.. just ENJOY yourself.. always think positive and never think negativ... go find one thats good and loosened up already. ...DON'T RUN AWAY? Just ask to be transferred. You have the right to get medical care anywhere you want. No one can stop you. I had a friend who didn't like the care she was getting and ... i hope she gets away.. them places does more harm than good...She will always be a drug addict if she doesnt get out of there... Cheer her on.....God Bless ... |
