Do rubella shots hurt? |
i have my shots coming up and i am really nervouse Right now, pinch an inch of your own arm. Pinch it hard for just a second. That's what the shot will feel like. Nothing more. Seriously, turn your fears into strengths by turning scary situations into learning situations. The way I would turn getting a shot into a learning situation is by asking your nurse or doctor to take a moment to show you how to give an injection. Then, be brave (all learning takes bravery) and ask if you can give the shot to yourself with their assistance. Make life fun. Giggle more. Worry less. all shots hurt but what really burns is the medicine going in your muscle! relax that is the best thing to do You may die, but there's only a 2.5% chance that'll happen. If you don't die, you'll be fine. I've never had a shot that didn't hurt, some more than others,,,,,,,, Yes, shots in general do hurt a little depending on your pain tolerance. The worst part though is the anticipation as that is what really makes it painful. After the shot, you will likely be asking, "Is that it?" as it will be very quick. The site of the shot will likely be a little sore for a day or two. But overall, still worth getting the shot. yes Yes, needles hurt a bit .Before you go for your immunization, take some tylenol or Advil. (30 min before) This will help with the soreness in the muscles after getting a needle. I did this with my children before they went for their needles. Just relax. |
