What is roseola?

Im 31 year old with a 2 year old, I have been sick for three weeks, I've had roseola now for two weeks. I believe i've contacted it through my son. how long does this last?

Roseola (baby measles is another name for them) is of the rheubella strain, meaning that they are, indeed, a form of measles.

It is normal for a child to have them around 2 to 3 years of age. An adult can contract them, but like measles, if you've had them as a baby, you can't get them as an adult. It's called immunity...once you get them, can't get them again.

Keep your baby warm, deal with the fevers with either cool baths or baby tylenol, and try to get them to eat.

It never lasts more than a week, so if this has been going on for two weeks, get them to a doctor. It could be something else.
