Male with Rosacea Problem?routine?

Hi, I'm a male age 22 and over the past year or so I've devoloped rosacea which flairs up when shaving but the redness never seems to quite go away. The redness seems to stay with me day after day, especially on my neck and chin where the rosacea is at it's worst. I've tried a redness therapy regimen from Murad, which I was told if used everyday I would see some pretty good results (but rosacea redness will never completely go away), but after a month I've only seen minor results which seem to vary from day to day. I really don't know what to do, it's gotten to the point where I hate to get my picture taken, not to mention looking at face in the mirror. Does anyone know what I could possibly do to help heal my redness, maybe I need to try adding a few other products to my routine, Murad has a few other products for rosacea redness? Anyone with any sort of help would be greatly appreicated.

forgot to mention I'm in the process of getting into missions over in Central Asia, so I would need a routine that I would be able to take with me and continue.

The best treatment for acne rosacea that I've found is from here http://www.rosacea-remedy.com/remedy

I've tried everything over the years including drematologist prescriptions. My skin has now been "normal" for the last 2 months and seems to be staying that way.

That website sends worldwide with no charge for shipping so maybe give it a go. Their daily moisturiser is divine btw and it'sformen and women. I used the intensive rosacea remedy treatment oil a few nights a week and saw improvements within a fortnight, now I just use the moisturiser but still have plenty of the intense oil left incase my rosacea gets bad again.

Good luck;)

You need to see your doc and get started on antibiotic treatment to help control it. This is something that should be done for the rest of your life in order to keep it under control. I am one that choses not to =worry about it so I only use antibitoics when it seems out of control. There are also creams the doc can prescribe for you to try. See your doc though for help getting this under control.

I was dx with Rosacea back in 1999. I had a skin rash all over my chin that looked like a red goatee. Truly awful!!! The first Dr. prescribed the wrong med and it was made worse. It was a couple of months before it was completely gone.

I also have dermatitis on my scalp, which I control with a shampoo. This is what infected the Rosacea and caused such a mess.

I would suggest that you run some searches and see what you can learn about it. I don't have the links readily available to give you, but if you Dogpile.com there should some great sites to give you what you need.

There are triggers that make it worse and not all of them affect everyone. For me, being outside in the sun is a biggie, so I have to wear a hat. I hate wearing hats. The only one I really like is a cowboy hat and after about June it is too hot to wear.

For some, spicy foods and hot drinks are factors.

As far as meds, I don't use anything on a regular basis. I was told I had to use the meds for the rest of my life and just kind of quit using them. When my skin didn't break out, I just left well enough alone.

Best wishes.
