Rosacea?????????? |
lately i noticed that my skin has been a little darker than pink. i get dark pink when its too hot and i also noticed the skin next to my nose gotten a bit bigger than i thought it was back than..its not anywhere else and im getting frustrated..what is this..is this rosacea?? also i have been using aveeno ultra calming and it doenst even work..what do i do? skin next to my nose meaning my cheeks..it makes my cheekcs droopy from the side The only thing I've ever seen work on people with rosacea (and of course, bad acne) is Accutane. Which has its own problems. IPL has some effect, as well, but you must have a competent physician. MetroGel is prescribed for light cases. well there is no cure for rosacea and that is what it sounds like go to a doctor to see what he can do to help. Rosacea is an inflammatory disorder and not dry skin. It is relatively easy to treat with prescription medication. Effective treatments are antibiotics that have anti-inflammatory properties, such as topical metronidazole or oral tetracycline family. Check dermatology web sites. Hmm, this doesn't really sound much like rosacea to me, but you should talk to a doctor to get a real diagnosis. Usually, rosacea causes red skin and little bumps that look like pimples. You may also experience a lot of "flushing," where the skin on your face gets hot and red. "Bigger" skin suggests swelling of some sort -- or weight gain, possibly. There is a cure for rosacea. I had it and no longer have it on my face. It took two years of strict heat avoidance. Doctors don't understand rosacea and that it's caused by thin skin(atrophy). You must avoid the heat until the skin heals itself. Because the skin is thin, your skin will be sensitive to all the triggers like alcohol, hot food, cold, etc. Putting oils and steroid creams on your skin will make it worse. But it sounds like your nose is pretty bad, so I would follow the advice of a dermatologist. I would still avoid the heat if I were you and the heat of the sun. Sounds like eczema, but I'd have it checked out by a dermatologist soon. You don't want to mess around with anything on your skin that's getting bigger. |
