Cause of rosacea does yogurt help? |
Hi I have rosacea and nothing really helps accept moisturizer and sunscreen Something I read at a rosacea site said there is some thought that the bacteria that causes ulcers may actually play a part in rosacea. (I have been interested in rosacea lately because it has affected a family member.) I had an extreme case of something similar to rosacea which caused redness(erythema) and thin skin(atrophy). I would avoid all forms of heat including the heat of the sun for two years. No saunas, hot water on the face, no suntanning, etc, and no steroid creams that further thin the skin. I would also avoid putting suntan lotion on your face and heavy lotions or makeups that clog your pores. The oil will trap in the heat and cause further redness. I really do think rosacea is caused by damaged thin skin which is why your face gets red in the winter too. Recent evidence shows that the human demodex mite causes certain types of rosacea in people who have weakened immune systems. |
