Rosacea problems!? |
i am 14 years old and i have rosacea. i take medicine that has helped a lot and i use bare minerals. i have been going to a dermatologist for a year. i wish there was something else i could do. i know to stay away from vinager and spicy foods. is there anything else i can do until im 75 and it goes away! Go to sleep early, eat well, and when your old enough to drink I suggest you don't because alcohol stimulates the blood which causes blood vessels to dilate making you look rosy. I'm 21 and have rosacea. Your doing good by having a doctor and using bare minerals, but also taking care of yourself, staying out of the sun, and trying to stay stress free is very important. I think my rosacea came about because I stopped taking care of myself (stopped jogging, ate more junk food than usual, and allowed myself to stress out more), but once I got back on track the rosacea faded; it's a gradual process though. In my case I feel rosacea is a response to my immune system, because when I took care of myself, my skin was awesome, but when I slacked off on taking care of myself I guess my immune system went out of whack and became weaker, thus making me more prone to sickness and disorders - stress was a major factor for me. Everyone's case is different, but if you don't eat right, don't do any form of exercise, and stress too much, you may want to try improving that. Stay consistent with it and you will see a slow but promising change. Form a routine and for exercising don't do it in the sun, go power walking in the evening, pick up yoga or something. You'll see that trying to stay as stress free as possible, working out (which is an outlet for stress), and eating good foods and drinking water will not only help the skin, but your health overall. You just can't expect fast results and you have to stay consistent with it-- that's the hard part, but once your used to it it'll be easy. Good luck girlie! I am a 55 year old male, and have suffered from average to mild Rosecia since my mid twenties. I've used Metrogel for 7 years now and it has worked quite well for me. |
