Rosacea question? |
So, I was diagnosed with rosacea a couple of months ago. I still haven't really figured out my "triggers' yet. What have you guys found to be "triggers" and are your meds helping? I was on antibiotic and now just using the facial cream twice daily. It hasn't helped much. Just when I think it's almost gone, I have another terrible flair up! I know what the common triggers are. I want to know what everyone's personal triggers are please. :) Rosacea has a lot of triggers. Some of the most common triggers are: heat, warmth, sun, anxiety, spicy food, topical products, stress, wind, exercise, crying, laughing, and a lot of others that I can't remember right now. These are all activities that occur many times a day. Spicy food, alcohol, hot food or drinks, hot weather and caffeine can cause a flare up. i have had rosacea for many years and the # 1 trigger for me is being out in the sun without sunscreen.i wish i would of listened to my dermatologist years ago.she would tell me to always wear sunscreen even if it snows.but i didnt listen.now,i always wear sunscreen.i have been using a new product that is a very mild soap made just for rosacea that has really helped my skin.its called FACE DOCTOR SOAP.do a web search for it and read about it and see if its right for you.its not a cure, but it has cut down the flare ups by about 80%.good luck |
