it costs 800 dollars at this dentist,im not gonna go into much detail aboput how pissed i am he didnt detect anything when he drilled that deep into my tooth last time,anyway now i need a root canal and ive been reading apparently it can develop a serious abscess,im currently on 500mg of amoxcillin every 12 hours for the infection,im wondering can anyone please tell me if i will be ok till the 7th of january? cuz then i can get a much cheaper root canal done and i dont have 800 dollars to blow on this dentist.i dont want to get a life-threatening abscess or have it fall out :( would a week on medication be ok? THAT SUCKS It is generally recommended that you stay on antibiotics for 7-10 days. Complete the entire package of antibiotics you were given. I think you can wait until Jan 7 for your root canal but I am not a dentist. Call the dentist you want to have the procedure done at and ask what the recommend. G.L. most likely it will be fine but keep baby oragel on hand in case it starts to hurt the oragel will numb it I got an abscess because I waited so long to get a root canal. Because the 7 is only about a week away, you should be fine. I mean, I went about 3 months without getting it done, and got an abscess about 3/4 days before I got it done. So it mostly depends on how long your tooth has needed it. Dont worry dude...u can hav it postponed until required time...BUT BUT do not undergo medication until then..Amoxycillin 500mg twice a day for 5 days can do..u should go for painkillers along with amoxycillin for d mentioned time period...not advisable to go on prolonged medication.regarding analgesics(as pain killers are normally called),consult your nearest physician.pls make sure you do not have allergy to any drug..hop you get well soon |
