should there be any pain at all after a root canal? ok so i realized i hadnt mentioned much.. Mayeb alittle bit of sensitivity, but shouldn't be a lot of pain. My mother had one, and it didn't take so she ended up having her tooth pulled. If it is still hurting I would consult a dentist to have it checked. You shouldn't feel anything from that tooth after a root canal. They may have left one canal untreated. YOu'd better go back to the dentist who did it. yes yes yes. If any nerve was left behind...it can be aggrevated... You can still have some pain and sensitivity, but it shouldn't be constant. I had more pain after my crown was placed than I did after my root canal. Pain from root canal can be real or phantom. My grandmother had her leg amputated many years ago. Her non-existent foot was the cause of her greatest pain for the rest of her life. it pains at times. try to avoid the foods that tends to hurt u.thats' what i didi whe i had my root canal. if this does't help go to the dentist who terated u During the root canal process, if local anesthesia has been administered there will be no pain. But the process involves keeping your mouth wide open for an hour or two, so you may have mild pain in those muscles for a couple of days. Additionally, if the temporary filling administered after root canal may cause some pain until it is removed prior to administering permanent filling and crown. a root canel takes a while to heal and they hurt like hell take care and be good |

You can brush them normally. If you don't have a crown yet, then you have one of two things: a temporary filling until the tooth can be further restored. This isn't as hard as a permanent... You just answered your own question... Doc Said you may not need one but he would recommend it and you don't have the extra money?? Then nope don't spend your money on something that does... Root canals are necessary, when the nerve in the tooth has been affected by tooth decay. That's when the tooth really starts hurting, ofting in a throbbing manner.
