What part of the body are ticks most likely to attach themselves to of humans?

Last nite 2 friends and I were in the woods and when we got out of the woods my friend had 4 ticks crawling on him and I had one on my pants...and my other friend who was the only one wearing shorts had none on him..that we know of so far..but im freaked out b/c i dont want lyme diease or rocky mountain spotted fever..so where do tick usually attach themselves?

They got me once and I caught Lyme disease. No fun. Make sure you look for any swelling; it usually looks like a bullseye or an extra nipple.

They'll attach wherever they can which is usually on the legs since that is usually where the exposed skin is.

Usually a warm dark area, crotch in your hair, arm pits but they can latch on anywhere and they will crawl.

dunno sorry

It's usually the legs because of their closeness to the ground and the ease of access. I've had ticks on my stomach, neck, and legs (different times, of course), but generally they've started at one point and moved to another.

walking in the grass or brush they usually get on your feet, ankles and lower legs, if you are walking under trees or through high brush, they can get on your head, they can attach themselves pretty much where they want. wear light colored clothing so you can see them more easily. they have sprays you can use too.

In your hair or armpit

around any hair line, but more where it's dark. have someone check around your head behind your ears if you have dark hair.
