Ringworm?????

Ok, so i found two kittens in my garage and took them it. It turns out they gave me and my sister ringworm. I have a spot on my chest and she on her upper arm. What i'm really worried about though is it spreading to my scalp and causeing hair loss! I have dandruff, but my scalp is pretty itchy right now. It might just be cause i'm getting all worked up over it, because my arms and back and face are itchy too.

Any home treatments for scalp ringworm? I tried using diluted bleach on the one on my skin, but if it appears on my scalp i dont know whjat i would do?? I'm going to the doctors tomorrow, if i get oral meds will it kill any bacteria on my scalp before it gets the chance to cause hair loss??? I'm so stressed out right now.

And what about the cats? Is there any way to clear them up? they have bald patches on them so, they def have it.

Ok, my main concern is the hair loss, am i likely to lose my hair at all, even small patches? How long does treatment take?

First of all if you're keeping the kittens, you should take them to the vet for treatment, because body and scalp infections can be caugh by close contact with an infected animal. There are many anti-fungal creams available over the counter for treating ringworm. Bleach does work well at killing the fungi that causes the ringworm, just make sure you dilute it 5 parts water to 1 part bleach. Garlic juice is another powerful anti-fungal agent, or if you have any tea tree oil just dab it on the ringworm 4 to 5 times a day with a cotton ball, it also will kill the fungi.
If getting it in the scalp worries you that much, your doctor can examine your scalp to see if a fungus is present. Scalp ringworm usually starts off with a pimple and spreads out over time. You can visit the source below to find out about the symptoms of scalp ringworm.

Okay you are freaking out too much over something so small. I've taken in various orphaned and abused animals all my life and some of them have had ringworm, and I've even gotten it a few times. First thing to know is the ringworm comes from FLEAS. Take care of that first, use the drops that you put on their backs. But this isn't something likely to spread and make you lose your hair... That would be such an extreme case you would have to be a very dirty unsanitary person to have that happen. If you want to go totally natural for a treatment, use tea tree oil. You have to use it twice a day, every day to clear it up. If your main idea is just not to go to the Dr.... then just get Tinactin or any of those creams for athletes foot or jock itch. Those are both just body part specific names for ringworm. But bald patches alone are not a sign of ringworm. Could also be mange, which is caused by mites. Drops for fleas usually helps with that as well. BTW, it has nothing to do with bacteria, it is a simple fungus, and they will not give you oral meds. Probably just a cream.

i had ringworm but it was on my leg put lotromin on it and it will clear up in 2 weeks 1 time every day

Ringworm is no big deal. Becoming stressed over it is worse than the ringworm is.
