My first experience was recently when i bought a new kitten and she came to me with ringworm and I found out the hard way. Just go to the store and get some Lotrimin....it even says on the label you can use it for ringworm. Ringworm is very contagious, however, if you have a decent immune system, your body should fight if off naturally. My cat has had it for a while now and when she first got it, a few of us in the house also had spots, but we managed to get rid of it without any special effort. With such a young child, you probably shouldn't take the risk though. It is very contagious and irritating, especially for a young child. It can contaminate a carpet and an animals fur. |
