Ringworm??

my cousin has it and my 10 month old will be around her.. is it contagious??

It is. I would keep them separated.

Yes it is http://www.dhpe.org/infect/ringworm.html

yes tell your cousin 2 put some bleach on it

Yes it is contagious and needs to be seen by a physician. Please make sure your cousin keeps the mark covered with a bandage until treated by a doc. :)

YES! I have ringworm right now. I got it from the gym. Keep your child away from your cousin!

yes this can be passed on vai clothing and towels it's acually a fungus

Ringworm is contagious. It can be passed from one person to the next by direct skin-to-skin contact or by contact with contaminated items such as combs, unwashed clothing, and shower or pool surfaces.

yes very you can give you son or daughter her shots before she goes

Yes. Clotrimazole or most OTC athletes foot cream will cure it.

It's very contagious. Get Tinactin at your drug store. It's for ringworm and you buy it over the counter.

Um yeah, I would not let your cousin around your child. Make sure she/ he knows it's not because you don't love her/him it's just that you do not want your child getting it. Go to www.webmd.com and you can find out a lot more info on ringworm. I hope your cousin gets better soon. Aww I think it is sweet when I see a mommy worrying about her little baby. I don't know there is something about it that just kinda makes me feel good inside. =)

As I am sure you know by the other answers, yes it is. It is fairly easy to treat if it is caught. My first experience was recently when i bought a new kitten and she came to me with ringworm and I found out the hard way. Just go to the store and get some Lotrimin....it even says on the label you can use it for ringworm.

Ringworm is very contagious, however, if you have a decent immune system, your body should fight if off naturally. My cat has had it for a while now and when she first got it, a few of us in the house also had spots, but we managed to get rid of it without any special effort. With such a young child, you probably shouldn't take the risk though.

It is very contagious and irritating, especially for a young child. It can contaminate a carpet and an animals fur.
