Someone, please tell me how to treat symptoms related to restless legs syndrome.? |
My symptoms include twitching and "painful cramps" in my legs and arms. Cramps that are, at times, so painful I either can't go to sleep at night or I can't stay asleep at night. My symptoms include twitching and a painful ache in my legs and arms. It is so uncomfortable I feel an uncontrollable need to keep them moving. It's worse and more frequent at night but sometimes I have gotten these pains during the day. RLS drives me crazy too. I try a couple of home remedies and I haven't gone to see a dr yet. First of all, see if you aren't too cold.. it makes my legs act up. Make sure you take enough iron.. a supplement every day works wonders. For immediate relief, try taking an aspirin or two. This thins out the blood flow and helps relieve a lot of the twitching symptoms. I don't know what to say about the cramping... it's not a symptom I get. It might not be RLS so I'd ask a doc about that. Good luck and get some rest! there are medicines that only a doctor can prescribe. go see one. try swinging your arms.. i have had this on many occasions and they are terrible i usually get woken up early hours of the morning with very painful leg cramps , i know you are suppose to lie or sit down and stretch out the cramp i do this and it goes away within 1 min , but i have a friend that has restless leg syndrome and he has to take medication nightly just to get to sleep i'm not sure if it helps with the leg cramps or just to go to sleep but either way it has made a big difference in his life. Well someone I know is on a medication. It is a generic Requip and they say it works pretty well. I had the same thing, my doctor put me on "Requip" works wonders. one in the morning one at night. No more restless legs. go to the bone doctor coz the reasons 4 leg aches and muscles tightening can be many...... concerntrate on ur symtomps and see a doctor fast Exercise can help RLS. You may want to try herbal supplements also. There are specific supplements just for RLS |
