Can medications cause restless legs?

I started taking compezine and ambien on monday, and starting on tuesday, my calves have been feeling tight, like i have to constanly move them around. it's uncomfortable, and right now really bad. I just finished working out so i'm tired, but my legs don't want to hold still. Is it cause by the meds? and What can I do to relieve it?

I work out 3x a week with 30 min of cardio and some weight lifting.

Also, I've heard of restless leg syndrome before and never had it. this just started suddenly eariler this week.

Yes meds can cause this type of reaction. You might want to discuss this with your doctor as the reaction can get worse. You also want to discuss your workout routine with your doctor also as this can affect the medication also.

I don't know if the medications would do that or not. Never heard of that happening but have you heard of Restless leg syndrome? Maybe that's what the problem is. Just google it.

Yes they can. Some antidepressants and antipsychotic drugs do have that side effect.
