Do I have restless legs syndrome? |
I get this weird feeling like bugs or ants crawling up my limbs, most often in the night but sometimes in the very early mornings or when I've just woken up. Most, most (95% of the time) at night though. The last time I felt like this was over two years ago. I feel fine otherwise, and it's just annoying, not really a pain or anything crippling. Also, the same thing happened several months ago and disappeared within two days. sounds like it-i have it and it usually occurs at rest or relaxation.it usually affects the legs but can affect the arms too.i get antsy in my legs like they won't quit moving and feel tightning and creepy crawly.i have to move around to relieve the sensations.they usually happen late afternoon and evenings.i take Requip for them which helps 85-90% of the time.go to your doctor and tell him your problem and they can start you on a starter pack which starts off with a low dose and increases over a 2 week peroid.i use the .5 mg as the 1 mg was too much but you have to use what works best for you.good luck! my mom has RLS, and you might have it too. but she doesn't worry about it, although you can probably get something for it if it really bothers you. No I don't think that is RLS. I have it, and my legs jump in the middle of the night or when I'm trying to go to sleep. They just jump. No feeling like bugs crawling on them. I take a prescription medication to stop it. The "creepy-crawlies" are definitely a sign of RLS. You should have no trouble getting a presription for Requim or Mirapex. Good luck, hon! :) Sounds very much like RLS. |
