Bronchitis and respiratory infection with pain in back near shoulders?

I recently had a respiratory infection with bronchitis. One of my symptoms was a pain in the back, right between my shoulder blades. It was there for almost a week before I got the cough or noticed the wheezing (I am asthmatic). The doctor's were very vague, and did not really check for any specific kind of virus or anything, so I was just curious if anyone might know what I had?

that sounds like a walking pneumonia. i had the same symptoms and that's what they called it. i don't think it's the same as having pneumonia though, which requires a treatment of antibiotics, sometimes a stay in the hospital.
are you ok now? if not, get back in there, and make them take good care of you.

I too have asthma and now copd and whenever i get a pain in the middle of my back or shoulders i go to my dr.as it;s usually phomonia'and that's nothing to play with.they have 2kinds they have the walking one and the viral one.that one gets you put in the hospital usually....good luck ps did they give you meds or antibiotics? they should have.i think...
