Really Annoying Inability to Yawn Problem - anyone else??

Hey, im a healthy young male, with no other health or respiratory problems, but i often have a strong urge to yawn, but cant seem to follow through with it.
I have, most of the time, an inability to get a good yawn or even a deep breath. I can get one started but right when the yawn would become deep and satisfying it dissolves! Which is very frustrating and causes me to repeat it alot. Its losing me piece of mind :(

So anyone else get this alot?
Do know if its masking/ a symptom of some respiratory disease?
Any feedback much appriciated

I don't know, but the second I saw the title to this I had to yawn!!

Don't worry..it's perfectly normal. If you REALLY want to yawn though, look at someone who is yawning; yawns are contagious.
OR, when you feel like yawning, OPEN your mouth REALLY WIDE and you should actually start yawning soon.

omg i thought i was the only one with that problem. it annoys me so much and i can't seem to find a soloution for it but lately it has been seeming to be getting better.

sometimes this happens to me too.
usually i just try to imitate a yawn and pretty soon i will yawn for real.

My 7 yo son has this problem, has been this way for a very long time. I would like to know more about why it happens too. He also has eosinophilic esophagitis. I would like to know if there is any connection, and if there is any negative long term effect in not ever being able to take a deep breath. Guess I need to ask my own question. Interesting to see that he isn't the only one with this no-yawning problem.
