My Brother died in residential care do you think they should allow chemicals to be left out on carts legally.?

My Brother died in residential care do you think they should allow chemicals to be left out on carts legally.?

I agree your question is a bit vague but to my knowledge it is against the law to have any chemicals out in any type of facility. The med carts are to be locked unless the person passing the meds is standing right by it. Cleaning supplies should not be left on cleaning carts. Every facility should have a book telling of every chemical used in the facility and what to do in case of accidential ingestion, spills, etc.
I am sorry for your loss.

it happens, i think they should have been watching better.

In my state it is illegal to do this. I would hope you have checked into the regulations for your state regarding this. If you haven't please do so.

No they shouldn't, especially in a place like that! If indeed that was the cause, they should be sued! They were idiot's to do so.

This is to vague a question. Did the chemicals have something to do with his passing? What type of chemicals are you making reference to, cleaning or medical (ie. drugs)?

It is not for us to know when we are to be called back by the Deity and for us to 'blame' others in this matter would be wrong.

I sorry to hear of your loss.

Of course not. They should do everything possible to keep people safe.

Absolutely not! In my state this is illegal and I think any competent residential facility would know better!
