What is the function of the residential aged care facility ?

Pretty much it what it says Somewhere older people go when they need taken care of may not be a nursing home but close some are where the older adult need help or just watch and has no family that can do it so they go there for that and for social involment

It depends. There are assisted-care facilities of varying levels, for the totally functional to the advanced dementia patients. But residential aged care facility is an old-age home. These places vary considerably, but no matter how you slice it, they're places you go to die.

In my experience it is for when the elder can no longer care for themselves easily, comfortably or safely. They offer cooked meals and ala carte style services such as:
toileting, dressing, medications (usually required) and so on. My mother in law was moved to one when it was clear she could not be left alone and getting to doctor appts would be a huge endeavor since she had stairs. I suggest you visit a few and get a good idea of what you want.

it is a residental housing for the elderly and evn younger adults ,who are incapable of caring for ones self,w/o the assistance of another.they offer complete care;dietary, medical, emotional,physical.there are daily routines that are followed for all ,according to the indivduals capabilities.if you are looking for one,please, spend more than an interviews worth of time at the facility.hang out for a few hours and even participate in the daily activities before choosing a place.
