Is there any provision for free residential care in the Malaysia for elderly people with mental illness? |
My mom is 71 yrs o, has depression and refused to get any pychiatrist help. We are in Kuala Lumpur and not well off. She have been verbally abusing the neighbours, throwing things out of the apartment and has threathen to stab me with knife when her mind "snap". Check with the city's dept of health and human services (they may call it by a different name in Kuala Lumpur) to see if they offer the services you need. You could try phoning the local hospital and asking them. The number's here... |
