Need outside intervention for severe alcoholism. Residential Rehab. Mesa, Az? No Ins. or $. Help!?

My Sister & Brother in Law have been drunk for almost a month. We've been here before but never for this long. This time they seem to be past a point where I can get them to stop drinking and start thinking. They don't seem to care about anything. They have no insurance. I have no money. I have to find a residential program for them before it's too late. Help.

There is nothing you can do unless they want help. Otherwise, forget it.

Contact their county mental health department. There are state programs that will pay for them to be treated as inpatients. Please do this and get them some help.

first get them into AA thats what my dad did and he was a bad acholic and drank a 48 pack in 3 days for 6 years he is now been sober for a year now and they have programs where they can get them in rehab

Call Information and Referral (it's in Tucson, but has 800 numbers state-wide). They will probably send the staggering couple to "Compass," a free detox program. In Tucson, Compass is in the same complex as SAMHC, which is a crisis center with doctors, counselors, nurses, etc. SAMHC and Compass are free of charge - and are only for people without insurance, money or AHCCS. Call right away, they are all 24/7 programs.

u can call the health depts. but u can also call the area hospitals to get information on where they can go. and, u should do this! just know that it's ultimately their decision to stop the abuse, you cannot "make" it happen. it's a very hard position to be in, and i hope u do ok in all this too!
