Why can't they handle this? |
today my health teacher tried to teach a class on male/female reproductive systems. he got kinda angry at the end cause everyone was laughing- whenever he said wet dream or menstruation, etc. and we are sophomores. why are most of the kids like this? what do they find so funny? I think there nervous and they use laughter to escape. There are a lot of different levels of maturity in a class of sophomores and it gets very frustrating for those who want to have a serious discussion when the clowns start acting out. Maybe the clowns think they can present the course material better thant the teacher? Immature, or they are feeling ackward. But you would think that 10 graders would be more mature than that..... I think that it has nothing to do with being funny and everything to do with being embarrassed in front of everyone. It is a nervous laugh They are called adolescents for a reason, you know? It wasn't that long ago that the fellows thought burping, snot and farting was funny stuff. Some of it is also the embarassment factor, and it's easier to laugh than blush. Just something about certain bodily functions that seems to be the eternal source of immature humor. Just hang in there, most folks do grow up enough to be able to handle the discussions without the need to giggle. Sophomore means wise fool, after all. You just saw a bit more of the fool part today. |
