Medical DISADVANTAGES of Marijuana?

Ok here's the scoop i'm wonderin what all of you think the LONG TERM Negative side effect or Marijuana Usage are. I'm Not Necesserally talking about the smoking aspect i mean the chemical (THC, CBD's etc.) aspect. I don't mean you smoked a joint and locked your keys in your car either i'm talking about actual physical damages to your health, ei: Reproductive Sys, Nervous Sys, etc. So any ideas? Than be my guest and Ans.

A very thoughtful article may be found here:

http://www.benzo.org.uk/ashtonpot.htm

It ends with....

"Using the drug also increases their risk of developing bronchitis and emphysema. Smoking three or four joints a day is the equivalent of about 20 cigarettes."

Lower sperm count in males for one.

you develop a quick immunity to it and have to increase the amount, it is habit forming, it decreases the short term memory, increases paranoia and general feelings of uneasiness the next day, definitely messes up the nervous system...any chemical introduced into the body for a prolong period of time could cause the body to become reliant on it...look at caffeine..
Lung cancer

I see only two problems.

1. Occasional loss of short term memory.
2. Respitary problems - but not as bad as smoking. However it can be eliminated by using a vaporiser.

from what i gather, the pros weigh so much more than the cons.

actually, your question is best answered by a REAL pothead who has smoked for at least 20 years.

that's it.

well, let's list some of the negative side effects it does NOT have (that LEGAL prescriptions DO have...mkay?)

- we'll start out with "DEATH"! (neonatal deaths also)
- "anal leakage"
- 'bleeding from the eye'
- hallucinations
- panic attacks
- dizziness
- severe respiratory and metabolic complications in low-birth-weight premature infants
- insomnia
- irregular heartbeat
- low blood pressure
- seizures
- convulsions
- apathy
- euphoria
- hallucinations
- delusions
- psychosis
- diarrhea
- vomiting
- pneumonia
- bradycardia
- arthritis
- twitching
- impotence
- viral infection
- and let's not forget drowsiness!

okay okay okay...so you really do want only the side effects of marijuana..."hunger".
Other than that I have no clue...you just grow it and smoke it. It all just seems so simple.

++++++++
[disclaimer] "Other than that I have no clue...you just grow it and smoke it. It all just seems so simple." That's just what I've heard, and I am not actively advocating breaking the law.

(especially when it's already broken)

If you are pregnant, you need to know that marijuana crosses the placenta and can affect your baby.

Marijuana use during pregnancy has been linked to low birth weight in the baby and withdrawal-like symptoms including excessive crying, tremors, hyperemesis (severe and chronic vomiting). Some studies, though not all, show that women who use marijuana even as infrequently as once a month throughout pregnancy are more likely to gain inadequate weight, to have dangerously rapid labor, prolonged or arrested labor, or a cesarean section. They are also more likely to have a baby that needs resuscitation after delivery.

Maternal marijuana use may also damage genes, possibly resulting in birth defects or cancer and lead to increased risk of attention disorders and learning problems later in life. Marijuana has also been shown to adversely affect placental function and the fetal endocrine system, potentially interfering with the successful completion of pregnancy.
