What is the diet advised for renal failure patient who under went 13 dialysis and stopped dialysis now?

I am chronic renal failure patient under went 13 dialysis and presently stopped dialysis and intend to take proper diet and medicine

What is the dietic advice given to patients with renal failure?

Dietetic management is important in controlling accumulation of nitrogenous metabolites like urea, phosphorus, potassium, sodium and excess fluid in acute and chronic renal failure. Excess protein is harmful in chronic renal disease, as it can cause hyperfiltration and glomerulosclerosis. Protein restriction is an important measure to prevent progression of CRF. Coconut water, fruit juices etc. contain potassium and hence to be avoided in ARF. Excess intake of salt and water can cause fluid and sodium retention with pulmonary edema in oliguric patients. Non vegetarian diet is rich in proteins, phosphorus and fat which are to be avoided in renal failure.

I would think that if your doctor was the one who stopped the dialysis....he/she would have told you what to eat, what not to eat. I hope you didn't stop the treatments on your own. Diet alone will do NOTHING for your condition.

I suggest you call your Nephrologist right away and talk to them about this issue.

If u r end stage renal, and u stopped ur dialysis, I would tell u to eat anything u want and enjoy ur time. There is no special diet or medication that will filter toxins out of ur blood if ur kidneys aren't working.

I was told to eat low sodium foods, lower my cholesterol, lower my fat and calorie intake. Take your phosphorus pills, and any other medication prescriped. I would advise you not to stop dialysis if you can help it cause it has worked wonders for me. Are you going to get a transplant?
