What is the diet advised for renal failure patient?

Hi
I have been a diabetic for 22 years and just found this website about 3months ago. This is a great website for diabetics.

I am a renal transplant survivor(one year today). Please do not stop dialysis. You need it to clean your blood. It cannot be done with diet. If you do stop, foods to avoid are: potatoes, dairy products, dark colas(root beer is accepted), nuts, peanut butter, bananas, oranges. If you need dialysis and do not go for treatment, ingestion of these foods is deadly! Please talk to your nephrologist. May God bless you. I pray you make the right decision.

Diet:Low protein diet of 40 g of protein (0.6g/kg). The diet must be high in essential amino acids and total caloric intake must exceed 35kcal/day using carbohydrate supplements if necessary. need for salt restriction is indicated by edema and /or hypertension.

Giovanetti diet plus antacid. You are being foolish.

food that contain low potassium

renal failure prone to get very high potassium level in the body

I found a renal failure diet cookbook. It's called "Cooking for David". Website is below.
