Where to go to get help, for renal/bone cancer woman with no insurance? |
Have applied for SS, told 24 month waiting period to be eligible for medicare. Wife won't survive that long. Please help this desperate handicap husband find the help his wife of 31 yrs. needs. Please pray for this loving couple. Thank-you! Have already contacted Sen. Lindsay Grahams office, was denied help appeal to expediate being worked on by his office. How can we get a plea letter into Pres. Bush's hands? Any help appreciated! File for medicaid. You can get a spend down based on your income level, you have to re-apply every three months. Do it quickly because they only pay bills dating back for three months prior to you applying. Also it takes about 45 days to get a decision on whether your approved or not, and if you have alot of money in savings (they don't count your residential home or one vehicle in your name)...well unfortunately they won't approve you at all, not matter how costly treatment is. Go to any school of medicine They will treat her and give her the meds she needs. Tell her doctor to send her there. They will send bills but they will not stop treatment if you can not pay. You need to look at Medicaid not medicare. Contact the American cancer society. They will help you with what you need, medicine, bills etc. Here is there website also when my father had cancer they helped us. Also try the red cross. Contact The American Cancer Society. I am a Renal Cancer survivor. I recieved a ton of help and resources from them. There are local chapters all over the US. Look for them in your phone book or call the 1-800 number. Also, apply to your state for disablility. I don't know what state you live in but some have supplimental disability payments available until you recieve SS. The SS administration will make you wait for forever, they would rather someone die, than to have to pay them anything. It sucks, but it is how our lovely govt. operates.....I will pray for you both, Good Luck, and God Bless |
