Science report on eye lens?

hi

i was just wondering what i should include in a report about refractive errors of the eye and how they can be corrected by glasses, contact lenses etc.

ive never really done a report and this is worth a lot so im really nervous

thank you though!!

First, describe how light works/bends going through convex and concave lenses.

Then, describe how light goes through an eye that doesn't need any prescription; how the light bends through the different parts of the eye to focus on the back part (the retina). That's your 'normal' example.

Third, talk about nearsightedness and how light focuses before the retina, causing blur. Save farsightedness for after that because it's a little more abstract or difficult to understand. These are your 'abnormal' examples.

Finally, talk about how the glasses/contact lenses counteract the power of the eye to focus light on the retina for clear vision.

Talk about astigmatism if you want, but that gets into a little more physics and abstract thought again. It depends on who your audience is and how much they'll understand.

Research nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, and presbyopia (the most common refractive errors). Then research how glasses, contact lenses (all types: soft, RGB, hybrid), and laser surgery all work.

Well, I know you asked for us to please not say "visit a doctor", BUT that is exactly what I suggest based on what you asked. I had pain/pressure behind both eyes for years and never did ...
