Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD) AKA CRPS? |
Anyone know if RSD (CRPS), can cause ankle/foot swelling (in only one leg? It's around the instep Talus bone (anterior talocalacaneal articulation), does NOT go above the ankle. I have had RSD in my lower right leg for 5 years now. It has always been swollen . I have heard that it is a pretty common symptom. I wouldn't worry too much about it if you haven't re-injured your foot and the pain hasn't changed. It may be a result of the heat. Mine gets worse in the summer. I wish you the best of luck. I hope you have found treatments that work well for you. For almost six years I have had RSD which affects my left foot and leg. Parts of my foot, ankle, and leg swell at random times and places. Keeping active even when you feel like crying from pain, in the end always helps.
