Help with really bad pain?

I am sixteen and have Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy, I've had it since I was nine. Right now I'm in the middle of a really bad flare up, especially since my fall a month ago. The pain is really bad, I'm going crazy. I dont know what to do, I'm seriously considering taking some of my leftover vicodin from having surgery. The pain is getting unbearable. I can barely walk, I cant take it anymore. I refuse to be confined to my wheelchair, and it's bad for my rsd anyways not to move. We just moved recently, and I dont have insurance, hence no medical coverage, no pain management clinic, no outside help. Advil, Ibprofen, Naproxen aren't cutting it. I need help, I need to sleep, and escape the pain for awhile. I dont know what to do. Any help will be appreciated.

I got RSD as a result of a rather simple skating injury when I was nine, called severes Disease, which basically meant that as a result of all the pounding I had an unusual space between my growth plates in my heel, which causes pain, but should of been easily treated.

I know how bad you are feeling...I'm also not doing super well either. My RSD/CRPS pain is also pretty high, and my Spinal Cord Stimulator just isn't cutting it. I've found that sitting in a pool or jacuzzi (maybe even a bathtub) in some warm water has helped calm down my pain. I've also found that listening to music, and relaxation sounds and lying down and trying to think of lying in a pool of water and being calm has helped, but beyond that I've just had to get through the pain. I've found that most pain medications don't even help my pain so I don't even take any. I have found that taking over the counter melatonin can help with sleep and getting yourself somewhat relaxed- I buy the chewables because they seem to be more effective. That is about all that I've found that really helps without doctors advice. You may want to consider seeing a doctor soon though, and going to the ER doesn't seem to be super effective because they hardly know what RSD/CRPS is litlte loan what to do to treat it. I hope that you are able to get your insurance in place...I know how long it can take we're in the same process. Good luck!

If you can make an appt. at a Pain Mangt. Clinic even if you don't have Insurance. They will let you pay a partial payment, that way you can get some help with your pain. Also try Disability Medicaid. If you get Medicaid you can have a pump put in your body and it only helps the place in your spine. You will amazed at the results.

God says : I will Heal all deceases. You have not , because you ask not. I will Pray for you my Dear, and ask God to remove your terrible Pain. But I Hope You will talk to Him also, because In Matt. I8:I9 He says where two agree on something, it will be done. I am going to Trust that you will agree with me as we ask God for This deliverence. o.k? God Bless You. + + +

Why have you got RSD, from surgery or? what was the cause?
Try and give your former doctor a call, where your from. Then have him either send your medical history or your proper charts to a doctor he can recommend or, go to the nearest ER and tell them you plight. They may be able to give you something to relieve the pain for now, then can line up a doctor for you.

I can't tell you not to take a vicodin while I'm on it myself on a drug program for intense pain. I guess only another person like we are can understand the pain we're on.
I've had twelve surgeries on my spine with no good results.

I wouldn't make a habit of the vicodin without seeing a doctor soon. Ibuprofen in 800 mg amounts are the same as vicodin but, not good either. Whatever you do, isn't as good as seeing another doctor soon.
