Which doctor in all the "ologist" would see someone for rectal bleeding? |
I have unexplained bleeding.. bright red blood and it's been off and on two weeks and each doctor tells me it's not their place. I do not know at this point who to see. I am tempted to just go to the emergency room and let them find the right "ologist".. THanks for all who gave real answers. There was no easy way to put this.. so if you thought it was too much .. sorry but it's just you had to explain some of it.. as it's not one thing going on. IF you don't have an autoimmune illness you might not understand how everything can tie into something else..meds, diet the whole bit. That was the reason for more info. I appreciate the info.. and there were most of you agreeing proctologist.. and no doctor said that. Thank you. Do you have a regular MD that you see or do you only go to rheumatologist? If not, you may need to go there first, to get referrals to see a specialist (depending on your insurance plan), as some specialists won't see anyone without a referral from their doctor. You may need a proctologist, but you may have some internal problems in your colon that should be checked. If this is not hemorrhoidal bleeding, it could be from within the colon, or a tear in your colon. Have you had your blood levels checked, like for anemia (not iron deficiency, but for blood loss)? Have you had a hemocult test? proctologist we did not need all the gory personal medical details to answer this...proctologist Proctologist or "*** doctor". proctologist. Proctologist, and you should never see any of those other doctors again if they didn't know that. Proctologist or gastronologist. If they can't get you in quickly, do the ER or Urgent Care. gastroenterologist Way to much info. Go see a Proctologist. Proctologist proctologist is the doctor in that department. some hospitals combine it with gastroentology. GASTROENTEROLOGIST Proctologist, ASAP you need to schedule an appointment. with a surgeon.. and have the do a colonoscopy on you...that will let them get a good like at the lining and inside of you colon which is where the blood maybe coming from....this doesn't need to wait.....make an appt..ASAP!! that is really graphic, I mean I know this is the internet but come on. I would say visit your nearest proctologist, they have expertise in the rectal area and could probably help your problem. You need to see a gastroenterologist A Proctologist is a doctor you would want to see. This type of doctor specializes in diseases and disorders of the rectum and anus. It sounds like you have internal hemorrhoids. These type of hemorrhoids come with no pain or discomfort, just rectal bleeding. You can just go to the ER for this or go see your physician and tell them you suspect that you have internal hemorrhoids. BUTTologist !!!??? PROCTOLOGIST Probably a gastroenterologist. They deal with the digestive tract. I don't know why you're getting bounced around--rectal bleeding can be a sign of a very serious problem. My mom had rectal bleeding because she has endometriosis that wrapped around and through her intestines. She found out from the gynecologist, but since it was in her intestines, she could have found out from a gastroenterologist as well. You need to call a doctor that will listen to you, your concerns, and make sure you have tests lined up before you leave his or her office. proctologist You should see one as soon as possible. Could be any number of things, from the benign to serious. Only a doctor could tell you for sure. bleeding anywhere from any part is serious, and has local causes or remote general causes. even after seeing superspecialists u r in this helpless state? which country r u in?. just make friend with ur own nearby family doctor/physician. be patient. # simple albendazole 400 mg ovfer the counter one every 3 days for 6 tabs is safe try..we have simple amebiasis giving the bleed. ask the doc gently. #fresh red blood causes are very much local and not from the upper gut..# i am a india family doc who trets all all all, and refers few to the exact ologist. i sympathise with u, cos i see the present doc over the world are cautioned to be wary on guard, not take any responsibility for the life of the patient. |
