What is the difference b/w Hemorrhoids and Rectal Prolapse? They are both a disease or condition of anus veins

Hemorrhoids are basically varicose veins which are inside and sometimes protrude outside the rectum and anus. Some bleed, but this is rare. They can be irritated by prolonged sitting.
A prolapsed rectum is an extrusion of the rectum, which is part of the intestinal tract, out through the anus, and it is much more serious. Hemorrhoids do not usually require surgery, wherease a rectal prolapse does require surgical repair. Think of it as sort of a hernia of your colon, and you get the idea.
Both conditions can be exacerbated by straining during bowel movements, or chronic constipation, or anal sex.

um

hemmorhoids are swollen blood vessels,
a rectal prolapse occurs when the entire lower portion of the rectum is shoved out thru the anus.

Hemorrhoids are where the vein actually bubble out on the side and they are painful. I think a prolapse is where the rectum actually comes out of your anus. It's not about the veins.

Another name for rectal prolapse is a pink sock.

rectal prolapse is more serious: Rectal prolapse normally describes a medical condition wherein the walls of the rectum protrude through the anus and hence become visible outside the body. There are three chief conditions which come under the title rectal prolapse:

Full-thickness rectal prolapse describes the entire rectum protruding through the anus
Mucosal prolapse describes only the rectal mucosa (not the entire wall) prolapsing
Internal intussusception wherein the rectum collapses but does not exit the rectum
