Rectal Cancer Stage 2??? |
We finally got the results back dated the 9th of this month from my daughter's pathology report on biopsies taken from her rectal tumor during a colonoscopy. I searched the internet last weekend for info on "staging" cancer. From what I read on her report, they are saying she is a "T3/T4 NO MO". From what I was able to learn by surfing the net this past weekend, that figures out to a stage 2, I think. Am I correct, does anyone know??? The oncologists should have gone over it in depth with you when they gave it to you, so you wouldn't be in turmoil. They didn't tell you because they didn't want you to sue them, or cry on them, and they don't think there's much they can do for your daughter. Thank you all for your answers, and Dorothy, thank you so much for your in depth answer. Your knowledge and willingness to share on this topic really did help me out very much. In all sincerity, I would recommend you call for dr's office, ask for the nurse, and an explanation. I am sorry i cannot help you. I am sure your doctor can and will answer all of your questions. I just read a question from wannabhippy and I'm here to be with you. I'm only 21 and I have a 3 year old boy. He is my life and I know what ur going through has got to be one of the hardest things in ur life that you'll ever have to deal with. I want to give you hope but I really don't know how. I want you to know that I will pray for you and your daughter. I want you to know that my thoughts and hopes will be with you throughout the whole day. I'm sure there are many other people that are out there doing the same for you. I wish I knew you better so I could say something to chear you up. You are a great person and mother. I will say that I don't know much about this type of cancer but I just want to be around to give you encouragement and hope. Tell your girl that some friend on the computer told you to tell her that one day a prince will come and take her away and make every dream she ever wanted to come true. Well I'm not sure how old she is but I just want to say something to maybe make her smile or think of something great. Have a good day and I wish/pray for you and your daughters best of luck. |
