Rectal Cancer ??? |
Can young aged people ( 12- over ) have rectal cancer ? It's more based on 50 or over adults. It would be very rare for little kids to get rectal cancer. You might be referring to hemorrhoids. I think that it is entirely possible, my mother is only 35 and she has rectal cancer. However, it is most common in women around the age of 40-50. If you have any concerns about it then I would ask a doctor. Before my mother was actually diagnosed with cancer, she had gone to doctors for around a year. One doctor sent her home with the flu and then that very night it got so bad she had to go to the E.R. I hope this somewhat answers your question. It would be infinitely more likely for a young person to have a bad case of internal or external hemorrhoids rather than rectal cancer which would be extremely rare at a young age. The average person who had never had hemorrhoids before would be unable to distinguish internal hemorrhoids from rectal cancer unless they had seen a Dr for a proper evaluation. The symptoms would be quite similar also with pain, bleeding, swelling and terrible discomfort in the lower colon and anus. |
