What is agood support group fornewly diagnosed cancer patients?

i was recently diagnosed with rectal/colan cancer and will have surgery on the 18th of october. I am in search of a good support group in arkansas. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

The ACOR colon cancer group currently has 792 members who either have colon cancer or are caregivers of people with colon cancer. ACOR sponsors non commercial groups for over a hundred types of cancer. These groups are moderated to keep out spam and keep on topic. Reading their Archives alone can answer many of your questions plus you can contact others going through the exact same treatments and with the same stage of disease. good luck

check out cancercompass.com
its not a support group but an online forum you will find many fighters and surviors and news about treatments there may be people from your area on there.
also talk to your doctors they should be able to reccomend some groups you can meet with.

I am sorry. You can google colorectal cancer support and that will give you other sites to choose from.

Best Wishes!
