What type of doctor do I need? |
I have diabetes type II, high blood pressure, depression and insomnia. my general practioner keeps taking the same tests but never does anything. I also have a strong history of stomach and rectal cancer in my family and he seems not to be interested in that even though I am at the same age as my sisters who are both deceased from stomach cancer and heart disease. would an internal medicine doctor be the right choice? My primary care doctor is an internist. I chose him over family practice doctors because of medical conditions I have. I think it would be a wise choice for you too. Check around and I'm sure you can get recommendations for a good internist. You can sign a release in his office for your records to be transferred to you new doctor without going back to the other one. Good luck. An internist, yes. You need a compassionate doctor. Ask your friends to recommend one. Good luck, hon. yes and hopefully you wont need a referral For the diabetes you should really see an Endocrinologist. Yes, make you an appointment with an internal medicine Dr. as soon as possible. Your health is nothing to delay about! If you are unsure which one to use, ask around. But, please do not delay. Good Luck. Yes, and I urge you to contact the doctor right away to get your health in order. You need to change your diet and eat healthy food. Get help right away and the test can tell how well you are doing. Good luck and come back to share the story. |
