Have had Rectal pain Since age 20 now am 26, too late to do anything? |
Hi all. i'm a male 26 years old,, hispanic. I have been having pain and blood in my stool since i was 20.. but i would for example go to the bathroom, wipe, and see some red in the toilet paper. then, for along time i wouldn't see anything, as if normal, then other days sudden colon pains, then othere days the whole toilete water turned red and i got scared...by the way the blood is bright red, not dark. Sounds like a fissure to me, but with anything, it is best to get things checked out. Listen, it's never too late to go to the doctor. None of us are doctors here so it's hard to say if it's colon cancer. Odds are this is hemorrhoids. There is lots of information on the web, which I suggest you read before running around convincing yourself you have a tumor. It's unusual to have rectal cancer in the twenties, unless your dad or someone in your familiy had it. Well it doesn't sound good. Blood in your stool could be from an ulcer in your stomach too. Or it could be from hemmoroids...which explains blood when you wipe your butt after a poo, but you will have pain at the opening if it's hemmoroids. please see a doctor first, who will probably refer you to a gastro specialist then, have a colonoscopy done, you will be asleep during this procedure, while he/she is scoping the colon anything can be seen and or burned away, i.e., polyps, that could cause cancer, six years is a very very long time to wait, don't ya think? Once this painless procedure is done, you should be worry free for another 3-6 years. I know because my sister just had hers checked at 44 years old. Do it, put your mind at rest. :) It's never too late. tThe body has the ability to repair, regenerate |
