I Think i may have Raynaud's syndrome/disease, but i'm only 15 years old? |
i read some stuff on Raynaud's syndrome and my finger only turned pale white at the tip of my middle finger, and that was it i had no other color change in my fingers. But during the day I'm fine. My hands and feet are cold at night, and not every night, it's random, some nights my hands and feet will be fine and other nights they'll be freezing. I'm afraid i might have this syndrome and i understand it is hereditary but no one in my family has every had this. I would like to see a doctor about this but i don't think my mom will understand. Only your doctor can diagnose Raynauds, hon. And usually Raynauds involves more than one digit of the hand. So it may just be a circulation problem that you are experiencing. Talk with your mom and explain what you are feeling. Then have her look at the article below. Maybe it will help her understand what is worrying you. Good luck.~ You could very well have it going by your symptoms, but like you said you should see the doc. ok, I would talk to your Mom and tell her you are very concerned with this. Then next time you see a Doctor for a routine checkup ask about it . Cold hands and feet , particularly when sleeping is not that unusual, and if they arent going white or blue probably nothing to worry about . I'm 25, and i have been told by doctors that i have Raynaud's.. my father also has it but wasn't affect by it until around age 70. I discovered that mine was aggrivated by the fact that i smoked cigarettes.. which restricts the flow of blood.. so does caffeine. Once i quit smoking i no longer had the problem (for now) but otherwise there really is no treatment for it other than keeping warm. However u should still consult a doctor, I'm sure your mom would understand if u sat down and explained it to her. |
