My sister has rashes in her body due to an allergic reaction to food what can she put on them? |
She says her skin burns & the rashes seem to swell up. Is there a home remedy or medicine she can use? Treatment at the time of a reaction varies with the severity and type of symptoms. Mild or localized symptoms may subside without treatment. Antihistamines (available either by prescription or over the counter) are usually recommended to relieve mild itching, swelling, rash, runny nose, or headache. Soothing skin creams may provide some relief of rashes. Benedryl makes an ointment gel that might help. Or even plain oatmeal. If she's having an allergic reaction to food then she should take an antihistamine like Benadryl and that should help the hives subside. Take the quiz on the website below to find out what it is so that you know what to do about it. Yep, sounds like hives. And yes............she should take benedryl and follow the instructions on the bottle. My sister has a little guy with this problem. |
