Please Help! I have these small white disappearing "ring-shaped" mini-rashes that itch, burn, swell?

It's not a big deal, a 2 or 3 on an irritating pain scale of 1-10. But, I cannot for the life of me figure out *what* these rashes are. They started a month ago coming and going on my hands (near the knuckles), inbetween toes and on my upper back. Now they only come and go maybe two or three of these mini-rashes a day or every other day, now only on my hands (fingers). It's usually on the sides of my fingers, the insides.

The weirdest thing is that they apear in about 1-2 mm ring shapes, white rings, with red irritated swollen skin around it. They itch at first, badly for 5-10 minutes, then burn up, then swell. Then, if i run it under cold water and dry and water and dry and water and dry long enough, it will wear itself out and go away. I am sick and tired of it. Do I have hives? A reaction to my new "Free" detergent or my shared washing machine/dryer? I can't just make these things appear at the doc's office. What rash makes little white rings appear briefly? Thanks for your help!

It's NOT ringworm. Ringworm doesn't come and go, is usually not scattered all over, and it is red, not white. But you might want to try to go to a doctor about it. I know you said you can't just make them appear in the doctor's office but maybe you could take some pictures to show the doctor. Also, a good doctor can often make a pretty accurate diagnosis with just an explanation of symptoms. Good luck.

Sounds like ringworm to me. I say you should see a doctor to be sure.

The only ring like rashes that i can think of that do itch is ringworm...and if you are getting it in more than one place def go that checked....

Ring worm. It sounds to me like what you have. It is a fungus and a over the counter cream can take it away. It usually comes from cats.

I would say that you have a minor case of exzema - those little rings might be what are called plaques....try a little hydrocritsone cream on them for a week and seem what happens.

I sounds like ringworm. You will need a special med to get rid of it. Be very careful . It spreads like wildfire.
