What are some rare diseases out there?

I need info on any rare diseases out there you all can come up with. Can you help me? These need to be diseases that not many people know about. But they also need to be diseases of which I can get enough info to speak on and describe to a classroom. I'd appreciate any help I can get thank you!

Celiac

This is widely known about in other countries, but rarely diagnosed here in the U.S.

statistics show that one in every few thousand people have this, but global statistics say the number is more like one in very few hundred!

So sad!

And it's a diet disorder. So easy to fix. Eliminate Gluten and the person can start absorbing nutrients again! But the lack of nutrients causes all kinds of other problems and diseases!

Fields condition is the rarest disease in the world. Its a neuromuscular disease where apparently healthy babies deteriorate until they can no longer stand unaided. Google it.
