Disease that's rare...any advice or links? |
My best friends' mother has a rare disease that makes her body produce way to much collagen. In result, her skin is pulled tightly across her body and cracks open at the joints especailly her now drawn in fingers at the knuckles. The disease itself is called skulladermis or something like that. Does anyone know anything about it or any links about it or treatment options? Any advice is appreciated. Thank you in advance You may be talking about scleroderma. Try a search for that and see if it fits. it isn't really that rare. You won't get all the information you're looking for, though, because of the wide variability of the disease, and you have to rely on the experience of physicians to know what's appropriate. i would suggest using a search engine and review the name of the skin disorder......i have a rare skin disorder and this is how i found mine, good luck..... |
