If you found a cure for a rare disease?

Would you sell it or sit back and take the ADMIRATION for finding the CURE

i'd expect a nobel prize or something. after all, i deserve it.

why wouldn't i do both?

I would deliberately infect myself with that particular disease and then cure myself about fifty times just for the heck of it. It's sad but true. I am overly idle.

They go hand in hand.

If it's rare, you won't make much $. Better off taking the glory and getting BJs from grateful family members.

Ego or power. Start with ego for a few weeks, then get bored..

SELLING IT IS THE PROBLEM WHY WE STILL HAVE RARE OR COMMOM DISEASES NOW. WE CAN WALK ON THE MOON BUT WE CANT CURE DIABETES. PLEASE, THEY MAKE TOOOOOO MUCH MONEY OFF THE CONDITIONS TO CURE IT. THAT WOULD STOP THEIR PAYCHECKS.

i'd give it for free cos that's the type of person I am

i would sell it for half the profit and share the other half with different charities...then i would keep going with research in that field, etc. if what i invented was really as good as all that, then the admiration would come on its own, esp. if i kept my word about the profits, etc.

I would do neither. I would plan out the means of mass producing this cure/drug and making it available to the public at as cheap a cost as possible.

No human being shoud be denied medical treatmentr for lack of money or lack of availability.

These days, Admiration don't go empty handed, it goes with cash, depending on the quality of the admiration. So when I take the admiration, some company who wants to make money out of it will come to buy the cure and make money out of its production, by that way, I have made money and name.

I'd sell it! I'm sure the acclaim would follow regardless..though I would be pretty humble,, but if I invested my time, energy into something to cure a serious illness, or disease, then I would feel that I have the right to at least support myself with my findings. I'm sure drug companies, doctors and lawyers would make it corrupt some how. However, with the grants provided by the government, and money raised for cures, (charity) I wouldn't feel like I was taking advantage from anyone by making money. At least on the forefront. Great question, thumbs up for me!

would like to answer Neither and say i would give the cure to the right people to distribute it to who needs it etc.. without taking payment or recognition, but in the real world maybe a would sell it cheaply just enough to buy a house!

Sole Patent it and sell it. No need admiration. Give free to the poor and sick.

to me the admireation isent worth **** if its not real
at least if you have patents you can clame a small pie !
but if noone is interested ... what about oxfam patents ?
or some charity ? who better to have your help

If it was rare its benefit would be of little use?
